1. Katsetiu Villas (the “Company”) collectively referred to as “Katsetiu Villas”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy policy.
2. This privacy policy sets out the basis which Katsetiu Villas may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) in Malaysia. This Policy applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisations which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or process personal data for our purposes.
3. We process personal data based on your consent according to the applicable clauses of the PDPA, which you are free to give or refuse. You are free to revoke your consent for us to hold this information at any time. If you change your decision, it will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

What information do we collect?

1. We collect information you share with us when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, or fill out a form. You may be asked to provide: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, country of residence, passport issuing country or credit card information.
2. Unless specifically requested, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, on or through the Services or otherwise to us, any Sensitive Personal Data (e.g., race, religious, ethnicity, medical or health information, sexual orientation etc.).

1. We use a secure server and are continuously implementing and updating administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or alteration
2. Sensitive credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, sensitive credit information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we disclose any information to third parties

We disclose your personal information to the following parties and in the following circumstances:

1. To third parties only if you are staying in one of our accommodations and would like us to arrange further services e.g., airport transfers, private chefs.
2. To allow third party vendors, consultants and other service providers to perform services on our behalf.
3. To comply with laws or to respond to claims, legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas and court orders) and requests from public and government authorities.
4. To cooperate with regulatory bodies and government authorities.
5. To third parties in order for us to pursue available remedies, or limit damages that we may sustain.
6. To a third party in the event of any reorganisation, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business or assets (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
7. To include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

What are your legal rights

You have the right to:

1. Request access to your personal data. This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it
2. Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms
5. Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios
   a) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy;
   b) where our use of the data is unlawful, but you do not want us to erase it
   c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
   d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.

Where you opt-out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data that you have provided to us as a result of a purchase of arrangements or other such transactions
