Water Quality and Clean Supply at Katsetiu Villas

At Katsetiu Villas, we understand that water quality is one of the most important concerns for guests during their stay. Clean water is essential not only for daily use but also for peace of mind when traveling with family and children. That is why we take careful measures to ensure that the water supplied at our villas is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Water Tank & Filter Maintenance

To ensure cleanliness, our staff clean the water tanks and filters regularly. Chlorine is added during treatment to reduce impurities and odour, while also keeping the water free from bacteria. Sometimes, you may notice a faint chlorine smell. This is a normal part of the water treatment process and indicates that the water has been properly disinfected. If you are sensitive to chlorine, simply inform our team, and we will be happy to assist.

Safe Chlorine Levels

Our team regularly checks the water quality at each villa using a chlorine tester kit. This helps us to confirm that chlorine levels remain within the safe range at all times. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the maximum safe chlorine level in drinking water is 4.0 mg/L (4 ppm). At Katsetiu Villas, we keep chlorine levels within 0.2 – 2.0 ppm, a range that is safe for daily use, yet comfortable for taste and smell.

Is the Water Safe to Drink?

Yes, the water at Katsetiu Villas is safe to drink. However, as an extra precaution, we recommend boiling the tap water before consumption. Boiling helps to eliminate any remaining traces of bacteria or impurities and ensures complete safety for your family.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Regular water testing at all villas (Main Villa, Side Villa A & B, and Rear Villa).
